The ratio of women on treadmills, elliptical machines and stair climbers to women in the free weight section of gyms across America is staggering. Women by far spend 75%-100% of their time in gyms avoiding any strength training exercises. Countless studies have shown that in order for women to truly get to where they want, to get those Kelly Rippa arms or a tight toned back strength training is where they need to be spending their time!
Would you like to continue to burn calories and keep your metabolism revving for 12-48 hours after you have finished your workout? Then get off those treadmills and elliptical machines and spend some time in the weight and machine sections of your gym. Now I am not saying give up completely on your beloved (or maybe it’s despised:) cardio sessions, but why spend an hour running like a hamster on a machine when you could spend 10,20 or 30 minutes doing a circuit burn with free weights, exercise bands or medicine balls and get better results in less time!
