100 REP WORKOUT from Kevin Linkous on Vimeo.

What are the benefits of doing a 100 rep workout?

100 rep workouts are based around body weight movements, minimal rest sets, and multiple muscle groups rather than doing one exercise for extreme high reps like some workouts you have probably seen before.

What type of results can you expect to receive from doing 100 rep workouts?

The combination of higher repetitions and minimal rest periods will result in a calorie burning, fat melting workout. Most people notice great improvement in muscle definition after only a few weeks of working out.

It would typically take about 45 minutes of cardio (treadmill, elliptical, bike) to work up the kind of sweat I get when I do one 100 rep workout.

Now in my video, I find these to be so much fun I actually ended up doing 110 reps….fun?   YEAH RIGHT……Effective?  ABSOLUTELY

You can increase the level of intensity by going faster than the recommended 6-10 minutes. I did mine in a little over 3 minutes but that’s because I love the burn :)

I have many, many variations of this type of workout. You too can create your own version. Just remember to try and eliminate or minimize any rest periods and try and do movements that incorporate as many muscle groups or full body movements as possible. I find it helpful to use some music to pace yourself but you should definitely try it out!

I hate running on treadmills, stairclimbers or elliptical machines. I find them to be boring, somewhat stagnant and not very muscle stimulating. I needed to lose some weight post surgery and decided to do a 100 rep workout once in the morning and once at night. In two and a half weeks I lost 10lbs doing only this and NOT eating after 8:00pm!

So go for it! Let me know what you think and if you would like me to build you one to focus in on your problem areas then send me a message and start burning your fat and building a stronger body.
